Handbag from Tidore Weaving
The historical fabric of the Tidore Sultanate, which was lost for 100 years, is now being searched for and made based on black and white photos from the Dutch Leiden Museum by Tidore youth who care about the preservation of Tidore Culture. Made manually using looms and not machines with tie and embroidery techniques. By using mazerais cotton thread, Tenun Tidore now has the copyright for existing old motifs.
